Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 Edition to feature Snapdragon 720G SoC instead of Exynos 9611


A new version of Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is in the news for the past few days. The tablet has now leaked extensively revealing almost everything about it. The latest leak has not only disclosed the official name of the product but also its specs. Let’s take a look at all the details that are out.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 Edition

The upcoming tablet from Samsung will be officially called Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 Edition. It will have the exact same design as the original Galaxy Tab S6 Lite from 2020. In fact, the new model will share most of its features with the old variant.

The only major differences between the two is their chipset and software. First and foremost, the 2022 Edition will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC instead of an Exynos 9611. 

Secondly, thef forthcoming tablet will boot the latest Android 12-based One UI 4.x out of the box. Although the existing version is running the same software, it actually debuted with One UI 2.x based on Android 10.

Talking about other specs, Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 Edition will sport a 10.4-inch display (TFT LCD) with a resolution of 2400 x 1200 pixels and stylus support. It will arrive with an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, dual stereo speakers, 7,040mAh battery, and 15W charging support.

The tablet is tipped to sell in both WiFi-only and LTE variants with the same 4GB RAM and 64GB storage combo. They are siad to retail at €379 and €439 respectively.

Samsung is yet to officially announce the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite 2022 Edition.
